Survey on Recognising Dark Patterns

Dark patterns are UI/UX design choices that benefit an online service (websites, apps) by influencing users into making decisions they might not otherwise make.

A few examples of this may be sneaking new items into your shopping cart without your consent, making it near impossible to cancel a subscription, or something as simple as disabling a right click. Some dark patterns can deceive users – others can manipulate them into making choices that are not in their best interests.
